O reserva de Manuel Neuer falou
de como a seleção alemã aproveitou seus dias no Brasil, sobretudo nas noites após
aos jogos.
“Foi um dos melhores momentos da minha vida, ir ao Brasil e jogar o Mundial. Tivemos um ótimo período, conhecemos o povo brasileiro. Saímos várias vezes (do hotel), para ir à praia. O tempo sempre estava ensolarado. Depois dos jogos, sentávamos juntos em um bar e bebíamos algumas caipirinhas. Perdíamos a hora no bar. O mais difícil e acordar de manhã para ir para o ir treinar. Não é fácil quando você bebe cinco ou seis caipirinhas. Mas foi um ótimo momento, houve uma grande conexão com o povo brasileiro”, afirmou Weidenfeller.

Manuel Neuer's substitute spoke of how the German team enjoyed their days in Brazil, especially the nights after the games.
“It was one of the best moments of my life, going to Brazil and playing in the World Cup. We had a great time, we got to know the Brazilian people. We left several times (from the hotel), to go to the beach. The weather was always sunny. After games, we'd sit together at a bar and drink some caipirinhas. We wasted time at the bar. The hardest thing is waking up in the morning to go to training. It's not easy when you drink five or six caipirinhas. But it was a great moment, there was a great connection with the Brazilian people”, said Weidenfeller.
